The construction site exists of 2 parcels, lying back to back, each with its own entrance from the street. Along the Brusselsesteenweg, 3 apartments are planned, positioned on top of a commercial plinth. At the Laurierstraat a duplex apartment will be organized. Although parking needs can easily be projected along both streets, the city requires a solution on the site, accessed from the Laurierstraat. The plinth is therefore cut down, allowing an elongated parking solution. This avoids creating a frozen, closed front of garage boxes in the plinth. It also allows for the entrance of the apartment and the storage and meter rooms to be organized in the courtyard. In order to provide two sided orientation to the shop at the Brusselsesteenweg, the plinth is strategically cut and avoids any sight on the parked cars in the back.
